Connecting to the Internet ( via TCPIP ) using your Compuserve account. We have recently found out that a TCPIP connection to the Internet can be obtained using a valid Compuserve account. The advantages of this over using the Compuserve interface are that your can access your Brown & Sharpe E-mail and that you can send attached files via a standards based system which is more reliable and less costly then the Compuserve Send file option. The instructions and information we currently have available are as follows: Configuring a Windows 95 system. Configuring a Windows 3.x system. Compuserve phone list for North America. We have recently received a custom dialer from Compuserve. It has a built in telephone directory for world wide access dial up numbers. It is currently being test and should be available soon. |
